Most likely when you’re given any legal work, you’re instantly focused on doing it really well.
So far, so good.
Whenever you’re asked to undertake legal work, always make sure that you ask yourself these 3 questions:
1. Am I completely clear about what I need to do?
2. Do I have all the necessary information?
3. Have I been told when it’s due?
If the answer to any of these is a straight out ‘no’, or even ‘I’m not sure’ then, before you go any further, make it your job to find out what you need to know.
Otherwise, you’ll be at risk of missing deadlines, making mistakes, and overlooking important issues.
