Graduate lawyers & paralegals – here’s a tip to prevent your focus on doing great legal work from accidentally going badly wrong.
Most likely when you’re given any legal work, you’re instantly focused on doing it really well.
So far, so good.

But don’t become so intensely immersed that you forget to check for these 3 critical warning signals:
1. Is it taking longer than you thought it would?
2. Are you still in control of all your other assigned work?
3. Are you realistically going to be able to meet set deadlines?
When any of these alarm bells are ringing, they’re trying to tell you that now is the time to engage in some prompt reprioritising.
If you miss them then, unfortunately, you’re probably about to crash and burn.
